What would he learn?

One thing we do know: Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness.
Those words by Ekhart Tolle have opened my eyes to yesterdays events, I sobbed in thinking.
Evolution of consciousness; think about it.........we are getting changes to evolve ourselves and we think so differently when situations happen in our lives. Life lessons, teachings all meant for us to grow, give us a path. Yet I was thinking it wasn't for me, it was and it wasn't. For I need to be taught on this experience for my evolution in life.
These words hit deep within my being/my soul. I can read it again and again and on different days to come up with so many experiences from waiting in line patiently for coffee, or at a red light or.....allowing your child to grow within himself. Stepping back to allow the freedom of his being to learn. For him to evolve.
My first instint is to want to protect him, yet something inside is staying so calm with all of this, (I read this after everything happened) but I feel it's his life path, his growth. yet my love for him says, let him learn. This IS his life, not yours.
I want to feel the pain instead of him.....but what would he learn
I want to protect him and run to him......what would he learn.
He must learn that life is good, and you have so many on your side......I got to allow you to grow and in a way, I grow with you. For allowing, allows us both to learn our own paths and to know that in God's hands, we are on the right track.
I do prayer for him, I pray hard. I also know that angels guide and protect him, God watches over him so I can sleep at night and him too. Growth in life for the both of us, is deep at this point.
I can't stop why this has happened, I can only love him hard and allow him the room to breathe and be.
